Legal Transfer of Ownership Part III

In 1 John 2:15-16; we are commanded not to love this world. Why? Because all that is in this world is designed to replace or dethrone God from being God in our lives and to replace God with ourselves. This is the exact same thing that Satan did in Heaven. Think about it; “all that is in the world is craving for physical pleasure” (covetousness), “craving for everything we see,” (covetousness), “pride in our achievements and possessions” which is (covetousness). The root for loving this world is covetousness. Hence, this cancels God’s desire to transfer the wealth of the wicked to the just. But, if you walk in covetousness, you are not “just” in the eyes of Almighty God.
