The Deceptive and Murderous Nature of Covetousness Part II

To covet is to place the object of desire before love and devotion to God. Therefore, it is impossible for a covetous person to love or be devoted to anyone. It is impossible for them to biblically serve anyone. It is impossible for them to genuinely care for anyone because the core of their motivation is personal gain at the expense and destruction of everyone they come into contact with. But contentment and a servant’s heart is a mighty weapon against the spirit of covetousness. Because contentment trusts God with its lot and a servant’s heart cares for the success and betterment of whom it has been assigned to serve at its own expense.
