Psalms 23:1 NIV

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.



The Lord He is my shepherd. He watches over me. In order words I can’t watch myself, I’m not good at it. I fail at it every time. Therefore I trust Him to watch over me. Because I trust in Him and not me, I ain’t lacking a thing.





Psalms 23:2 NIV

He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,


The distractions are noisy they are obnoxious but He has led me to quietness and peacefulness. He has drowned out the noise but I’m not focused on it I am focused on Him. He is my Jehovah Shalom.



Psalms 23:4 NIV

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.





1 Chronicles 29:14 NIV

But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.

Moses saw that Aaron had let the people get completely out of control, much to the amusement of their enemies.

So he stood at the entrance to the camp and shouted, “All of you who are on the Lord’s side, come here and join me.” And all the Levites gathered around him.

Moses told them, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Each of you, take your swords and go back and forth from one end of the camp to the other. Kill everyone—even your brothers, friends, and neighbors.

The Levites obeyed Moses’ command, and about 3,000 people died that day.

Then Moses told the Levites, “Today you have ordained yourselves for the service of the Lord, for you obeyed him even though it meant killing your own sons and brothers. Today you have earned a blessing.


God is not calling us to kill anyone. But are you willing to die or separate everyone and everything that is not of God and is not like God? Do you want to earn a blessing as the scripture says?
