Unlocking The Possibilities of God
James 1:3 (AMP)
“ Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces
endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace].”
James 1:3-4 (MSG)
“Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all
sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and
shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its
work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.”
Mark 9:17-23 (NLT)
“One of the men in the crowd spoke up and said, “Teacher, I brought my son so
you could heal him. He is possessed by an evil spirit that won’t let him talk. 18 And
whenever this spirit seizes him, it throws him violently to the ground. Then he
foams at the mouth and grinds his teeth and becomes rigid. [d] So I asked your
disciples to cast out the evil spirit, but they couldn’t do it.”
19 Jesus said to them, [e] “You faithless people! How long must I be with you? How
long must I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.”
So they brought the boy. But when the evil spirit saw Jesus, it threw the child into
a violent convulsion, and he fell to the ground, writhing and foaming at the
mouth.
21 “How long has this been happening?” Jesus asked the boy’s father.
He replied, “Since he was a little boy. 22 The spirit often throws him into the fire or
into water, trying to kill him. Have mercy on us and help us, if you can.”
23 “What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person
believes.”
Exodus 4:10-14 (NLT)
“But Moses pleaded with the LORD, “O Lord, I’m not very good with words. I never
have been, and I’m not now, even though you have spoken to me. I get tongue-
tied, and my words get tangled.”
11 Then the LORD asked Moses, “Who makes a person’s mouth? Who decides
whether people speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see? Is
it not I, the LORD? 12 Now go! I will be with you as you speak, and I will instruct you
in what to say.”
Matthew 17:20 (AMP)
“He answered, “Because of your little faith [your lack of trust and confidence in
the power of God]; for I assure you and most solemnly say to you, if you have
[living] faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from
here to there,’ and [if it is God’s will] it will move; and nothing will be impossible
for you.”
Romans 10:10 (AMPC)
“For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ)
and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he
confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his]
salvation.”
Philippians 4:13 (AMPC)
“I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who
strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in
Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him
who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]”
2 Corinthians 12:9 (NLT)
“ Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in
weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of
Christ can work through me.”
Matthew 19:20-22 (AMP)
“Then a woman who had suffered from a hemorrhage for twelve years came up
behind Him and touched the [tassel] fringe of His outer robe; 21 for she had been
saying to herself, “If I only touch His outer robe, I will be healed.” 22 But Jesus
turning and seeing her said, “Take courage, daughter; your [personal trust and
confident] faith [in Me] has made you well.” And at once the woman was
[completely] healed.”
Mark 10:46-52 (AMP)
“Then they came to Jericho. And as He was leaving Jericho with His disciples and a
large crowd, a blind beggar, Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, was sitting beside
the road [as was his custom]. 47 When Bartimaeus heard that it was Jesus of
Nazareth, he began to shout and say, “Jesus, [a] Son of David (Messiah), have mercy
on me!” 48 Many sternly rebuked him, telling him to keep still and be quiet; but he
kept on shouting out all the more, “Son of David (Messiah), have mercy on
me!” 49 Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called the blind man, telling
him, “Take courage, get up! He is calling for you.” 50 Throwing his cloak aside, he
jumped up and came to Jesus. 51 And Jesus said, “What do you want Me to do for
you?” The blind man said to Him, “Rabboni (my Master), let me regain my
sight.” 52 Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith [and confident trust in My power] has
made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and began following Jesus on
the road.”
