The Blessing of Obedience And The Curse of Disobedience

When we look in the book of Deuteronomy where God reveals His promises of blessings to the obedient and His promises of curses to the disobedient, we can see God’s tremendous hatred for disobedience. Because there are almost five times more curses then there are blessings. Why is that? Because God and Satan know that whoever you obey becomes your master or your god. Including all that belongs to you. And God’s curse is a tool designed to get you to turn back to Him if the curse doesn’t destroy you. But, if you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good of the land.
