Confronting Demons

Matthew 12:28 (NKJV)
"But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you."

1. Casting out demons demonstrated two important spiritual truths.
First, it revealed the existence of two opposing spiritual kingdoms: the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan.
Second, it demonstrated the victory of God's Kingdom over Satan's

Mark 16:17-18 (NKJV)
"And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name, they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

1. Evangelism that does not include the casting out of demons is not New Testament evangelism. Also the ministry of praying for the sick. It is unscriptural to pray for the sick if one is not prepared also to cast out demons.
